Late comers / registrants often distract others when lessons have to be repeated.

This is why, starting from now onwards, only ONE-to-ONE coaching and support will be provided.

For example:

Sasha is very weak in Algebra. She signed up with ABC Tuition School expecting her Mathematics teacher to help her with Algebra. By the time she was in the class, there were quite a number of students who were very weak in certain topics. She did not dare to ask the teacher to start with Algebra instead. For two months plus, she studied topics that she never had problems before.

What can we say from the above scenario?

1. Parents spent fees for months and did not know what their kids require most.
2. Within these two months, a lot of practices on Algebra can be done.
3. Decision making should be agreed by all students on which topic to start first.
4. Too many students inside a class will not help your children to pay more attention towards
their learnings.
5. The teacher could not recognize each and every student's weaknesses and could not help all
students to understand all topics.

So what can be done to solve this matter?

ONE-to-ONE coaching and support is very much needed nowadays. Mathematics do not require a student to memorize facts. There is only ONE way to pass this subject. HOW?

By doing lots and lots of practices on past year examination papers.

We are now moving

Since M.O.E does not allow Tuition Classes to be carried out in a rented place, classes in Kg. Selayun will no longer be held.

However, home tutoring will now be carried out in own premise situated in Kg. Kulapis, Simpang 99. (Second simpang to the right)

Location is very suitable for a home tutorial because:

1. There is no way your child can escape classes.
2. The place is very safe and quiet.
3. of the friendly-environment, classes will not be too formal.

First Progress Test

Alhamdulillah,

We have just finished our markings on the First Progress Test papers. I am not too pleased with my students' results, but at least they have tried.

I still believe in order for a student to achieve higher grades during their secondary level, he / she has got to possess a very solid foundation of Mathematics. This problem, can easily be fixed when he / she is still in Year 7 or 8. Otherwise, it's gonna be too late.

Below are some of the results I would like to share with the public:

Year 7 (SPN21 Maths)
9 out of 48 students FAILED the test.
39 out of 48 students PASSED the test.
Average mark (48 students) : 71.6%

Year 9 (Additional Maths) - Normal Class only
2 out of 11 students FAILED the test
9 out of 11 students PASSED the test
Average mark (11 students) : 64.3%

Form 4 / Year 10 (Additional Maths)
3 out of 24 students FAILED the test
21 out of 24 students PASSED the test
Average mark (24 students) : 69.7%

As a teacher, I still need to put a certain level of expectation from my students. Better grades can only be achieved when:

1. Students participate during lessons
2. Students ask a lot of questions to their Maths teachers
3. Students do revision at night
4. Students do their homework
5. Students have their own initiative to look out for external Maths resources, eg, from the internet
6. Students get their sleep early
7. Students practice a lot of questioned exercises / past year papers
8. Students possess a high knowledge in Maths Foundation
9. Students have high interest on Maths subject
10. Students were given full support and coaching by their teachers and parents.

No Revision = No Practices = No Initiative = No Motivation = No Will Power = A FAILURE

2010 Registration is now OPEN

Assalamualaikum to all Muslim people, and Best Greetings to the non-Muslims.

As we have known, normal classes will resume on the 4th of January 2010. Therefore, Maths-Excel private classes are now open for registration.

Maths-Excel (M-E) has been conducting classes since March 2009 and has witnessed good results so far from our former students.

M-E is a result-oriented private councilor and students will be given short tests occasionally to ensure that these students have mastered their topics throughout their learning.

M-E private classes can only accommodate 4 - 6 students per class. Full attention will be given to students' weaknesses and active participation will also be expected.

For this year onwards, M-E will only provide Maths Classes to Lower and Secondary Students. (Year 7 to Year 11 Only)

Maths ONE to ONE Consultation Class

FOR MATHS SUBJECT ONLY

Exams are near approaching. Do you think that your children have enough preparation to face the papers and do they really have enough revision to achieve excellence?

Some students by far up to date have already started panicking especially when they did not do well in their Mock or Qualifying Exams.

After knowing their grades, they may now have realized their topic weaknesses and this is when an exclusive ONE to ONE class becomes handy.

ONE to ONE class is basically a casual direct interaction between ONE experienced teacher and ONE student within the class. Extra attention and help are given to the student on how to tackle certain issues on topics they currently encounter.

Early bookings are necessary to avoid disappointment. Class schedule arrangement is very limited.

Please take note that ONE to ONE class differs from the regular WEEKLY classes.

ONE to ONE class does not have to be attended every week. It is more likely treated as a Consultation Class based on agreements on both parties.

It has been quite a while now since I have started my Maths classes in Kg Selayun, Jerudong. (Weekends ONLY)

With quite a number of students who have already joined in and still joining my Maths classes, I am glad to see a HUGE improvement being made by each individual.

On the first day of class, I will test each student on the basic knowledge of Maths (Maths Foundation), and surprisingly I have to say, 100% of them have totally forgotten the topics which they have learnt during their primaries.

Why does Maths Foundation is so IMPORTANT?

Simple.

Whatever they have learnt in the Primary level have to be fully understood, FULLY, by each of and every student as a guidance for them to get through their Advanced Maths level (example, O and A Level).

And on the first day itself, I will always be the proud teacher to fix this kind of mistake the students usually encounter.

School's Maths teacher should not be blamed utterly since some of the students, I believe, did not bother to put up any efforts for FULL CONCENTRATION in their classes. The students most probably misunderstood the topics and finally will come up to me and say, "My teacher nda lurus mengajar ah, kadang2 ani cakapnya, kadang atu cakapnya, mana satu tah yang lurus tu?"

Students are just students. In schools, they are usually batched up in a group of more than 20, and it's no surprise why some students were having a hard time to understand whatever topics that have been taught by their respective teachers.

With my years of experience in teaching Tuition Classes (Maths) and the PASSION that I've got in MATHS subject, I am well confident to help improve any students who are willing and have the desire to improve their Maths grades.

My previous and current students have proved themselves.

I will only allow up to 4 (FOUR) students per class.

I also provide a ONE-to-ONE class (Please Contact Me For More Info), a class most requested by parents and most recommended by myself especially when the student's basic foundation is very weak.

And some parents have made a mistake by sending his/her child to me FEW WEEKS before the exams.

Let us not suffer our students that way, it is almost impossible to let the students UNDERSTAND the whole concept and it is also almost impossible to COVER UP -ALL- topics within few weeks prior to exam.

Parents, please do take note on this matter seriously.
